Veterans Day

On the 11th minute of the 11th hour of the 11th day - the "Great War" ended in 1918.  And so, on 11/11 each year, we celebrate Veterans Day.

Somebody once wrote that in the past 4,000 years, there have been less than 300 without a major war.  "Peace was merely the time when everybody stopped to reload."

For those of us who interrupted our lives in order to serve our country in the armed forces, I wish a special Veterans Day.

I thank my fellow vets for their service, especially those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to preserve the freedoms we enjoy so much.

And to my family vets - Jerry, Don, Josh and Cyle - I salute you.
