What's Wrong With This Picture?

A graduate student at Penn State witnesses an assistant football coach raping a 10-year-old boy in the showers at the university.

The graduate student tells the head football coach, Joe Paterno.  (Joe has been at Penn State since the invention of the radio.)

The rapist is finally arrested and Joe is fired along with other university officials who knew about the incident and failed to report it to law enforcement.

Now there’s an outpouring of support for Paterno.  People are protesting his firing.  Why?  Because he won football games for Penn State!

The graduate student is now an assistant football coach himself at Penn State.  He will not be on the sidelines for this week’s game because of multiple threats against him!  Some people are so upset at what he did that they are threatening his life.

What’s wrong with this picture?!?

Young boys were subjected to the perverted actions of an adult.  These boys were scarred for life.  This was wrong on so many levels.  And it was illegal.

The graduate student was the only one who did something about it.  He went to Paterno, the head coach, and told him what he saw. 

It’s not the graduate student’s fault that Joe Paterno has now been fired!  It’s Paterno’s fault for not “manning up” and going to the authorities!  He continued to allow a child rapist to remain a part of his coaching staff.

Furthermore, the child rapist (BTW, his name is JERRY SANDUSKY, and I hope his fellow inmates get to have their way with him someday!) worked with a charity called The Second Mile.  Guess what his charity did?  It helped troubled youths.  Perfect place to find young, vulnerable boys.

I guess winning football games is more important that protected innocent boys from rapists.

How sad is that?
