The NBA owners and the NBA players have yet to come to an agreement; so, the exhibition season will be cancelled. Who knows? Maybe the whole season will be lost.
The NBA owners claim that 80+% of the teams are losing money. Don't know if that's true or not. However...the players, in my opinion, are WAY overpaid. Let's face it...they are playing GAMES for a living. They are entertainers. They are idolized by the general public.
Here's my suggestion to the owners: Do what President Reagan did when the Air Traffic Controllers went on strike....FIRE THEM ALL!
Replace the current NBA rosters with CBA players and European players. Pay them A LOT less. (Trust me...they will gladly accept the money offered.)
Yes, the caliber of play will be a notch below current levels of performance....but, it's all relative. Besides, it won't be long before the fired NBA guys will be begging to come back and play....and for a lot less $$ too.
What else are they going to do? Half of them can't even speak proper English. (If you don't believe that, you should "axe" them that question....)
That's my solution.
