Congress is going home after finally approving the two-month payroll tax extension.
This issue was all about politics in Washington, and it illustrated why the American public is so fed up and disgusted with our senators and representatives.
First of all….does anybody really believe that an average of $40 a paycheck is going to make any kind of significant difference?
Meanwhile, we are continuing to bankrupt the social security system. Does anybody (especially those in my age group who are nearing retirement) think that’s a wise move?
Secondly, what are we going to do after the two months? Extend it once again? Like we continue to do with unemployment benefits?
The “leaders” of this country seem to not have much of a clue.
It is very discouraging.
