Perspective

If the US Government is seen as a family, here's the situation:

The family is making $58,000 a year.

The family is spending $75,000 a year and it has $327,000 in credit card debt. 

In order to fix the problem, the family  is currently proposing BIG spending cuts to reduce its spending to $72,000 a year....

These are the actual proportions of the federal budget & debt, reduced to a level that we can understand.

Does anybody think that this is going to fix the problem?
